The Chinese Muslim Cultural and Fraternal Association expresses its profound sorrow regarding the catastrophic fire that occurred yesterday at Hongfu Court, resulting in the tragic loss of life and extensive property damage. We are deeply saddened by this grievous event.
In this time of hardship, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the affected residents, and the rescue personnel who have bravely carried out their duties. We pray for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness upon the deceased and for the swift and complete recovery of those who have been injured.
We firmly believe that, in the face of calamity, the enduring spirit of solidarity, compassion, and mutual support within Hong Kong society will serve as a vital source of strength. Islamic teachings remind us to remain patient during times of adversity and to uphold the duty of assisting one another.
We therefore call upon all sectors of society to unite in providing the necessary support, care, and resources to the affected citizens, ensuring that they receive encouragement and assistance as they navigate this difficult period.
